In order to work out on a limited time, preparation is imperative.
The easiest and fastest route is by working out at in the convenience of your own home. No travel time needed.
Make sure you have comfortable workout attire, including good shoes.
Find a few favorite workout DVDs to rotate your schedule with. A good place to find these DVDs is at your local library and many fitness shows have workouts available online also. Find something you enjoy and have some variety to avoid boredom. Try to make sure that the workout space is setup properly, hopefully you will have resistance, ie weights or bands, mat, and plenty of water. A good short workout is
basic circuit training. Circuit training is basically alternating between weight/resistance exercises and aerobics like jumping jacks or push-ups. Try to schedule and keep workouts to the same time everyday you exercise. Use an alarm if you lose track of time. Motivation is also important. List your workout goals and why and put them on sticky notes around the workout area. This will keep you on track. If you have dogs, walk them. That sweet face is really hard to resist if you are human. Lastly, research which workouts are best for you personally. The library is a good place to start. If you have bad knees, kickboxing may not be the way to go. Most of all exercise should not hurt, if so you are doing it wrong. And make sure to check with your doctor before beginning any strenuous exercise and diet plan.
