Start Getting in Shape Tomorrow

Hi,

Are you ready to start getting in shape tomorrow?

If you answered yes to this question, then you really aren’t ready.

You aren’t ready to start a new nutrition plan.  You aren’t ready to start a fitness program.  You aren’t really ready to do anything.

Why do I say this?  Because tomorrow is a deadly word and a deadly concept.

Tomorrow is a cop out. 

If you are really ready to start, then you are ready right now. 

And you make the commitment to start right now. 

Actually, now that I think about it, forget the commitment.  Just get started right now.

Do not wait until tomorrow.  Do you have any idea  how many things don’t get done at all because someone is waiting for tomorrow?

I don’t know either but I would guess it is quite a lot. 

If you wait until tomorrow, there will always be things that come up that will literally force you to not get something done tomorrow.

Look, life gets in the way of every single thing you try to accomplish. 

That is just normal routine life things.  If something major happens, then you can just forget about getting anything done tomorrow.

Even if you make a commitment to get started tomorrow.  You might have the best intentions.  You might even have a plan to follow through on your plan.

But, if you have all of that, what is stopping you from doing it right now.  Getting started today.  Forget about tomorrow.

Do it now.  Yes, right now. 

If you want to start getting in shape, then stop reading this post and go for a walk, do some pushups or situps or anything.

Just do something right now.  That is your commitment – your proof that you aren’t just BS ing yourself. 

You might be able to fool other people about your commitment levels, but you can never really BS yourself.  Deep down inside you know the real truth. 

Even if you try to hide it from yourself.  You will still know something is not quite right. 

Using tomorrow as an excuse is not quite right and as soon as you say that you will get started tomorrow you are attempting to BS yourself. 

So stop it.  Do what you say you are going to do right now.  And do it every day for the rest of your life.

Now, here is the beautiful part of doing it now.  You can do this with anything in life. 

It doesn’t matter if it is taking out the trash or getting a book report done, or studying for an exam, getting a presentation done or asking someone out on a date.

If you have the attitude of doing it right now you will get so much more accomplished.  You will not have to worry about it again because it is done.

Your whole life will change for the better.  As you do this more and more it becomes second nature. 

I remember a time 4 of us were going to see a drive in.  We go out to the car and one of the tires is flat.  The guy started cussing and moaning about the bad luck.  The girls started to join in the “whoa is me” routine.

I just got his keys opened the trunk and started changing the tire.  With his help we got it changed in less than 10 minutes and were on our way.  No mess, no fuss. 

There was no reason to wait until tomorrow to fix the tire.  There was no reason to even waste 1 second of time on bemoaning the problem.

Just fix it.  Just take care of the problem. 

So if your problem is that you need to lose weight or you need to get in shape, then if someone asks you if you will start getting in shape tomorrow, your answer should be Hell no, I am starting right this minute.
