Man Boobs Part 2

Hi,

The last time I talked about man boobs it was to point out the fallacy of those ads “guaranteeing” getting rid of man boobs.

The post mentioned that you can’t lose body fat in one specific location. 

While exercising  and diet are important in losing body fat there is more to it than that.

More specifically you have to get your hormones involved. 

The growing problem of man boobs can be traced to a couple of things.  One is a lack of exercise.  The other is a poor diet.

However, there are some men with breast problems that do exercise. 

So you have to look at diet.  And the amount of chemicals and hormones that are added to our food has grown just about every year for the last few decades. 

Eating food grown fresh off the farm is almost unheard of today for the vast majority of the population.

These chemicals and hormones – specifically estrogen – increase inflammation in the body which makes it harder to get rid of body fat.

The estrogen – given to fatten up cattle, pork and chicken – ends up in your body.  That is why girls are reaching puberty earlier and even younger men are growing breasts. 

So the first step in getting rid of this excess body fat is to eat heathier and if you can find a place to get it and can afford it – start eating grass fed beef and chicken. 

The other step – for men especially – is going to sound very strange. 

Start eating more fat.  This is especially true if you exercise.

That should raise some eyebrows!

If you have been eating a diet with more hormones and estrogen, then you need to counter balance it with another hormone.

In past posts I have mentioned that your hormonal system is a system of checks and balances. 

As long as everything is going okay your hormones balance each other out.  But, if you are taking in a lot of one kind of hormone, then you need to balance it out.

In this case you need more testosterone. 

So you need more testosterone.  Problem is the popularity of low fat diets makes it hard to get enough testosterone in your body. 

Your body needs some fat in your diet to use testosterone.  Now this is not the kind of fat you find in potato chips.

You need good fats, like monosaturated fats and the kind you get from grass fed and free range beef, pork and chicken. 

That way you will be eating less estrogen and will have enough body fat to help your testosterone production.

And yes women need testosterone – just not as much as men do.  And you definitely don’t need all the extra fat storing estrogen that you are getting in a “normal” diet. 

Try changing your eating patterns as outlined above and pretty soon your hormones will be back in balance and you won’t have to worry about man boobs again. 

And women won’t have to worry about all the excess storage of body fat from the extra estrogen.
