Fitness Expert or Not

Hi,

Most of you who have been reading these posts know that I have a problem with these blog farms.

They use PLR (private label rights) articles and spin them to create hundreds of articles out of one article.  Most of the articles are unreadable.

Then they put on adwords ads or links to affiliate programs selling you something.

Well, I found a brief article by Bob Bly who is a copywriter that sums up my feelings.  Now he is talking about public speaking, but the same thing goes for posting blogs, writing articles or sending emails.

***The surest way to become a better and more confident public
speaker***

In the late Robert B. Parker’s latest Spenser novel, “Cold
Service,” Spenser says to Susan this about his sidekick Hawk:
“He’s nearly always right. Not because he knows everything. But
because he never talks about things he doesn’t know.”

This is a good tip for public speakers, bloggers, writers, and
anyone else who communicates: stick to what you know and you’ll
be a more effective, more persuasive, more credible communicator.

And by “knowing” a thing, I don’t mean just researching and
reading about it. I mean knowing from actual experience.

The only way to ensure total credibility as a speaker is to not
speak on a subject unless you’ve actually done it. If you haven’t
done it and an audience member challenges you, you are completely
vulnerable … because you don’t truly know what you are talking about.

So why am I bringing this up now?  Because I got a comment from a reader asking about my knowledge and more about me.

So I realized that I haven’t really ID’d myself.  So this week I will be working on an about me page for this blog.

I also plan on adding a Facebook page and other social networking sites in the future.  I just need another 10-12 hours in a day!
