Do You Really Want to Lose Weight?

Hi again,

Do you really want to lose weight or would you rather lose body fat?

A lot of people want to do both, but most fitness models and athletes want to lose just the body fat.

Problem is that they do the same thing whether they want to lose weight or just want to lose body fat.

In order to lose weight you can decrease the calories or increase the expenditure. Either way will cause a calorie deficit.

This calorie deficit will cause you to lose weight. Of course there is more that goes into it than just eating less.

The types of food you eat, when you eat and the health benefits of those foods all play a role in how much you lose.

The type of exercise you do also plays a role. You have seen – in previous posts – how low intensity exercise, especially cardio, really doesn’t really help you much in the weight loss category.

However, we still haven’t addressed the concept of losing body fat.

In order to lose body fat, you do have to have a calorie deficit just like you do when you are trying to lose weight.

However, you need one more thing. And that is you have to have your hormones in alignment.

What the heck does that mean?

You have a lot of hormones circulating in your body. These hormones are all interconnected and influence each other.

The type of foods and when you eat them influence your hormones.

The type of exercise you do influences your hormones.

The amount of stress you have in your life influences your hormones.

That is a lot of influences.

Getting these all aligned so they are actually helping you lose body fat can be very tricky.

That is unless you know a few simple secrets.
