Do Detox Programs Really Work?

- Image via Wikipedia
Hi,
Detox programs are quite the thing today. But, are they really necessary?
You have probably seen some of the ads – especially the ones online. Somebody takes a detox product and miraculously they are able to hold 50 feet of byproduct from their bowels in one long segmented log.
Besides the fact that doing that is extremely gross, it is also BS. All that product does is act like a starch to hold particles together.
Does it also clean out your bowels? Yeah, maybe, but is that really a detox? The answer to that is no.
Detox or detoxification is getting rid of unwanted chemicals in the body. And the liver does most of this. All your colon does is help remove some of these unwanted chemicals.
There is a much easier – and less messy – way to detox. And that is to do it every day.
You can do that by exercising a little bit every day.
You can do that by eating some healthy protein every day. Try one serving of whey protein mixed with filtered water and this will kick start your detox every day.
Add in some fruits and vegetables for anti-oxidants and fiber. Then add some probiotics and you have a great daily detox program without having to use the costly, messy and mostly useless online kits advertised.
Try adding these products to your daily routine and you won’t have to worry about detox programs.
